Anyone know of a slope-colored EMA that repaints properly?
I use a standard ema on my charts and want to find one that paints itself according to slope (or just up/down) and that, when set to update continuously ("update on bar close" = false), properly repaints itself so it looks the same whether you reset the indicator or not. All the "slope-indicating" EMA's I've found (ema_colors, colorsampleuniversalmovingaverage, etc) don't paint correctly when set to update continuously - they start to have multiple, overlapping colors when the slope is changing.
thanks!

Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Stupid question: what do you mean by repaint properly? I see that all the time and I don't know what anyone means. Here is the one I use and it prints nice and smooth.
Just that if it is updating continuously it "cleans up after itself" - when it prints a piece of ema and then the bar moves to create a new slope for the ema and thus a different color, it "repaints" such that the first (now incorrect) piece of ema is erased as the chart moves forward.
Some indicators recalculate or "repaint" several bars after the fact. You see Blue and you go long, 2 bars later the signal gets changed to red. The indicator you posted does NOT repaint.

You crack me up. Do you by chance know of an EMA that fits my description? I'm still waiting for the EMA_Slope_Color to "show its true colors" to see whether it repaints correctly...
