I would like a hot key programed to bring up a duplicate instance of the line drawing tool on ninja. I using different colors for different things and having to change the color manually is a drag....ninja support said it was possible to program a hot key third party program to perform the necessary steps but I have no idea....anyone know how to do this?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
using ninja, and i amlooking to create a hot key to entry
what i would like to do is, right click on the price, and instead of moving the mouse to left click a buy or sell stop, i would like to hit a button..crude is just too fast
Start at post #7.
I use this routine for order placement, not as you intend to use it. But then the program is designed to just emulate the key strokes you would make to select a change in colour on the drawing tool anyway - therefore it should be possible.
PW, I wonder if this 'drawing panel' indicator might be helpful for you. It's non-intrusive, and takes up little screen real-estate. It can be found on this fellow's site here: NinjaTrader Indicators :: Richard Todd There are also some other great indicators he's created (mini-charts within the main chart), but alas, not released to the public.
this is the work of genius Pepper I just mess around with it.
after import, select indie PP_channels
a) to draw a line, hit insert key, click point A release mouse button, move to point B click one to finish a line.
b) to change color click on the line then hit * then select color from color template, OK
c) if you still in select channel mode hit +/- to increase/decrease line thickness otherwise click on the line to select it.
