Automatically scanning market for stocks which meet criteria
This is probably a really stupid question, so please forgive me!
Is there a way in NT for me to monitor every stock in the S&P500 and as soon as the RSI crosses above 70 it sends me an alert or notification or just a simple list at the end of the day?
Thanks - and sorry if this is stupid!
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
You can use the Market Analyzer, create a simple indicator which will send you an email when RSI cross 70, and add this indicator in your Market Analyzer window.
I know this thread is really old, but this is exactly what I am trying to do. But I would like to do 70 and 30. How would one make an indicator to do this? I look at the market analyzer and I can only find adding templates. So that is another problem I see.
Wanted to follow up on this.
Here is what i am trying to do.. I have coded a custom indicator - for simplicity lets say it determines monthly high / low thresholds. I now want to scan the 100s of stocks (all of S&P 500 stocks) to see if any of them are at either of the extremes.
Is it possible to do this with NT? If so.. can someone point me in the right direction please?
I looked at Market Analyzer function - but not sure if / how it can be made to work with custom indicators.
