Maybe I have a technical problem or it's a NT/Zenfire problem. I had this problem quite often, today again:
At about 16:10 CET (40 minutes after the trading start in NY) I wanted to change from "FDAX 12-12" to "CL 01-13". It lasted till about 17:40 CET (hence after the end of the Xetra DAX trading hour).
At about 16:12 CET I opened a new SuperDom (because I wanted fast a CL-SuperDom). At about 16:35 CET the new SuperDom opened! I chose the new Instrument "CL 01-13", and yes: At about 17:40 CET I really got the CL-data in this new SuperDom!!
I observe this behavior more or less always during the main trading hours: from 15:30-17:30 CET.
My PC is a i7-920 with 4 real +4 simulated cores. Today I used only google chrome additionally. My PC had never used more than 20% CPU today; more than 80% idle. But I have to wait for more than 90 minutes for a CL-SuperDom! (5 CL-windows were already open.)
Has anyone an idea what is going wrong??
(Now at 18:03 I changed in the new SuperDom from CL 01-13 to SI 03-13: It took about 30 seconds;
then from SI 04-13 to GC 02-13: 10 secs; and from GC 02-13 to ES 12-12: 60 sec!)
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
If you can duplicate the problem at-will, then I suggest you doing so with a new workspace, no charts, no indicators, nothing but superdom and see if you can still duplicate it.
I tried today a new workspace with just 1 superdom and had no problem to change the instruments. My PC has only a load between 1 and 5%. Even with 1 chart there is no problem!
So: The best way seems to have several different workspaces. I will try this.
I tried up to 20 workspaces each with different markets, all open. Important is that one has enough memory.
If everything fits into it, it's ok.
It's also important that every workspace for itself does not use the 1 complete CPU NT is supporting!
By using all these workspaces, one saves additional monitors as well. But of course one has to switch quite often between them not for missing opportunities!
But yesterday I had also a performance problem exactly with the start in NY (9:30am). There were so many trades (in the ES) that my PC complained.
