In my case when it reaches 95% and higher NT8 freezes/disconnects from data feed and sometimes I just can't finish backtest. You don't have that problem, right?

I have not experienced that yet. But, I’m pretty new to NT8 and back testing.

"...Intel is worth consideration in that game developers are usually optimizing for Intel since it dominated the market for a very long period of time (and still does). ..."

I‘m also at the point to consider buying a new laptop.
Currently, I’m thinking going to latest AMD Ryzen on the other hand
Intel i9 is also a option.
The new 17”Dell XPS looks great but is it a backtest changing device?
Here the specs, can be bought in March|April here in CH
Dell Notebook XPS 17 9700-T29N7
17", 4K, Intel Core i9-10885H, 64GB, 2000GB, SSD, nVidia GeForce RTX 2060

Or the new XPS 15 9500-JPDP6 Touch
15.60", 4K, Intel Core i9-10885H, 64GB, 2000GB, SSD, nVidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti

By the way, just out of interest
I opens a thread who everybody can perform a standard backtest and display
the results here:

I think I would be great to compare systems and performance )

Hi,
I am not an expert about current hardware but a couple of years ago I bought the Dell XPS 15 (9570) and it works very well, 32GB ram.
The problem is the wifi card but you can change it for 20 dollars. Also I must add that if you use the laptop's screen, it's slightly noisy but if you use it with external monitors it works just perfectly.
Again, I am not an expert but I decided to buy this laptop because when I bought it in 2018 it was considered as one of the best laptops in the market.

I use it with external monitors but I like to have a desktop just in case I need to travel anywhere.

These are the specifics about the laptop:
