I am sure you guys heard about Nick Wallenda and his wire walk across Niagara falls. But if you haven't seen this documentary I highly recommend it.
Man on Wire (Official Movie Site) - Starring Philippe Petit, Jean François Heckel and Jean-Louis Blondeau - Available on DVD - Trailer, Pictures & More
Man on Wire - Rotten Tomatoes
Probably only one of a handful that have 100% rating )
On August 7, 1974, a 24-year-old French high-wire artist named Philippe Petit committed one of the most astonishing performance stunts of the late 20th century: he strung a thin cable in between the two towers of the World Trade Center and not only walked across, from one building to another, but did a nerve-wracking series of knee-bends and acrobatic movements on the cable, some 1,350 feet above the ground, before turning himself in.
The similarities between trading and tight rope walking...CL, 6E recently ) are quite startling. One moment during the film he demonstrates how he uses his 'trading stops' as he practices falling onto the wire without falling off.
I think he would be a model candidate for a trader.
Him in an interview asked about worrying about losing money:
"Mais non, I am not worried. Ju zee I hav zee protective ztop here and take profit here. No matter. I will leave my laptop on. Now lets have a cigarette and finish our beer."
