I made an indicator ppl might like, I call it Trend Tracker
Oh, I see, you made that yourself, it's not the Trend Tracker indicator? It looks good I guess, I'd have to look at it on multiple scales and understand the algorithm to have a solid opinion though.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Hmm, I've never heard of Tillson until now. I'm looking into it just for the fun of it. The algorithm looks kind of complicated, I'll have to do more research and think about it more in order to understand it. I looked at some websites showing examples, and it does look better than a regular EMA or SMA, because it doesn't lag as much.
Do you actually understand how the Tillson algorithm works? It looks complicated... I have to find more info on it.
Tillson only has a channel middle, so you're using Keltner to estimate the channel sides. Keltner is a flawed concept, since range charts are the correct kind of chart to use (IMO), so I assume you're just adding & subtracting ~1 range from the Tillson to get the sides. Trend Tracker calculates the channel sides directly, and automatically adapts to market conditions, so it's probably more accurate.
Without fully understanding Tillson yet, I'm going to bet that the Trend Tracker algorithm is still better, for many reasons.
