You butt in on a conversation and the block the person who you butted inn on? seems an perverse state of reality you live in sir. Maybe you could just have left the chat but maybe blocking someone might make you feel all powerful, smug and popular. Thats fine.
No problem, you are welcome, I just felt obliged to react. A thread about teaching should be a fun subject rather than a serious issue. Threads on money management sometimes can cause a headache, so I looked for some distraction.
Actually I looked for enlightenment, but probably not in the way you offered it.
Professional sports is one example. To be a good teacher coach, one must be a good communicator. Good players dont nessessarily make the best teachers, because teaching is an entirely different skill set. And there is the old employee employer dynamic. I am paid to teach, you are paid to play....
For myself, I find the best teachers/mentors are not nitpikers. Drives me crazy and it stiffles creativity. A good teacher is a mentor, and has repsect for his own abilities, and respect for the student, recognising that the teacher student relationship is more effective when it is collaborative. In fact, I beleive it is only effective when it is collaborative.
And of course, there has to be some meat on the bone...If you hold yourself out as a teacher, you better have some cred. Or some other redeaming characteristics. Experience. Honesty is a good one. Humour. Not taking oneself too seriously...of course this is my list...you may want be an inexperienced, lying, humourless autocrat as a teacher/mentor.
And of course, the true measure of a teacher is his list of students. Who listens to him and why?
I think that the main tricks to being a good teacher is empathy and the realization that teaching is a very new set of skills and having the humility to both learn and teach at the same time. I can imagine that ego plays a big part in many people inability to teach also fear of being exposed as not quite as smart as we think we are.
I am guilty of a few mistkes in my life...Well, more than a few. Everyday in fact.
Some bigger than others.
I look back over some of the things I wrote a few months back and on the whole, i am am pretty happy with the majority. But, there are a few things where i think...what was i thinking?
Call it presumptuosness, or enthusiasm, or begginners zeal. Whatever you call it...we all go through it. And frankly, it is the reason I keep coming back to futures.io (formerly BMT).
There have been a number of long term members that have up and dissappeared without a trace, without explanation. Some that i felt had a lot to contribute.
It wuld be a shame to see anyone throw it in after only a couple of posts. I thiink we all would be lesser for it if that happened all too often.

for a while having seen it originally somewhere on elitetrader. Had been looking for it and had given up.
This is a great game for building "screen time" and a feel for price action. A daily dose with a minimal of indicators.
Hi Cloudy after trying that game I had another look for an more games and I founf this. I find It a bit better and you can win some pretty cool stuff if you are good. You need to have Java on your computer but appart from that its good to go.
