I used to have one of those gr2's but I never noticed much benefit. I've
been looking at the stress eraser and the emwave......anyone used those or something else fancy?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Iv been interested in getting a Bio feedback machine
i wanted one i could plug into my PC so i could observe myself while trading
I have not looked too hard but i couldn’t find anything like what i imagine you could get
any suggestions...? :-D

that thing looks interesting....a bit pricey....i wonder if its worth it. I know dr. brett sten.
mentions the emwave, but that was a couple yrs. ago....wonder if there's much progress in personal
biofeedback machines.
I have 3 of these, actually more if you count eeg-based devices.
My favorite is IOM by Wild Divine. You stick three of your finger into the measurement device. The device then measures both heart rate variability (most packages include only this) and galvanic skin response (used in lie detector). This is probably the most sensitive device to measure immediate changes, like when market suddenly goes against you.
If you intend to use during trading, IOM may not best since one of your hand has to remain stationary. Another choice is HeartMath Em Pro. It measures heart rate variability by snapping a measure device on to your earlobe. The drawback is that it's not as sensitive to fast changes as IOM.
I've not used any of them for trading though, and probably won't be since most of my trading are now automated. I think that's a better solution if you want peace of mind.
I have the the em wave pro HeartMath stress relief, resilience and wellness building tools It's a pretty cool device. I think it's useful to work on cognitive focus, but trying to add that to your trading might be a big distraction. These types of devices don't measure brain waves just heart rate variability (HRV) and pulse. You know it's a good tool to work on breathing and staying in the moment, but other than that you can just learning to breathe rhythmically without the device and you'll be set.
The overall idea with these devices is to learn to breathe and invoke a positive emotion. Not thinking about a happy place, but feeling the happy place. This is more or less to help reduce stress. For instance my happy emotion is when I come home and my son greets me at the door saying Daddy, Daddy. For others it could be your dog greeting you or something.
Final thought on these devices and trading, trading is stressful, once you realize that you'll begin to stop trying to get away from the idea of removing(learn to manage it) (I've tried practically everything, it's there and nothing will take it away other than managing it properly). I think it just takes time to accept that trading is stressful and if you want to make it in the trading game you'll learn what works best for you to manage your stress and emotions.
Hope this helps. You'll find what's best for you eventually. Happy Trading!
