It helps me to be focused, zen, inner calm

Probably other meditation can bring you the same merit, not
sure you need to 'focus' on transcendental, they still regularly
invite me, but i do my own thing

Thanks Ron.

Yes, I started meditation on a regular basis at the beginning of 2018. I have not taken up TM yet but I keep tracking it to understand whether there are tangible benefits over other types of meditation.

I will say this: with just 10-15 mins a day I started to see subtle but significant changes, which I think, in time, are going to be priceless.

This type of meditation (TM) was mentioned by Ray Dalio in his book Principles.
He spoke in relative length how it helps him to refocus.
If it helps a money manager that trades $150B, then there is something to it.
The book is highly recommended.

Thank you for the referral @mattz. Please note this book is available in most libraries in ebook and hardcover format. I usually rent the ebook, avoid the hassle of going to the library itself.

I can not begin to tell you what pleasure I have holding a book in my hand and reading it. That is meditation in itself.

Good thread. I have never done TM

But have practised meditation many yrs ago. I can tell you though that just 20mins of meditation I could probably need only 2-3hrs of sleep no matter how tired I was.

I will start soon again with some exercise and breadth work.

With the Advent of quantum physics it is clearly evident what is not known or easily explained in the scientific or material world is better explained in a spiritual or quantum world and I think it has benefits. Will it make you a better trader....that I am not sure. But your decision making should become better if your body and mind is composed and can comprehend. Another form of comprehending is intuitiveness which should becomes better per my thinking if in a neautral composed state

Here is a link from one of my fav's in the Quantum World...Loved it and watched repeated same scene ovr n ovr n ovr when the movie 1st came out...n still do

now also read this.....https://research.macrosynergy.com/high-speed-trading-lessons-from-quantum-physics/ << has nothing to do ...& probably yet to...?? answer always lies in the eyes of the beholder

To me.....the world of Quantum Physics is mind boggling.......but thats just me. It tells me the possibilities are infinite.....and so is in trading.....nothing is a surety...however strongly believe there is a something which happens in the world of meditation....which is not really explainable by my small mind.....so i will take it...rather than question or 2nd guess it .....cheers n to the next trade
