Dr. Brett (paraphrasing) "Without emotions, you have no feel for the market".

For me it was about discovering the absolute truth that my emotions were leading me astray. Once I acknowledged that and started working on "channeling" them (or however you want to word it), I was able to maintain a gut feeling about the market but also reign in the constant fear or greed that was leading me astray before.

Wise words. I'll add this one to my list.

Regarding the matter I think Dr. Gary Dayton has written a good article on Money Show. The link is here (2 Pages)

I don't know. Sounds catchy but not much beyond that. It depends on your trading style. A discretionary trader would find this statement truthful, but those trading mechanically are better off not to rely on their emotions.

Yesterday I went long instead short.
I went against what the market was telling me and instead went with what my expectations of the market were. Based on price action market was telling me to go long but I didn’t want to listen, because I was confident that this time market is wrong – but market is never wrong, right

Any advice what should I do to avoid similar mistakes in the future? i.e. not listening to my ego just to what market is telling me? Thx
