Just too good not to post, especially considering that the author is not a trader and the passage is not explicitly referring to trading (it is meant universally). Yet, it is spot on, IMHO. Can't trade what suppresses what you are. The psychology of a second hander (trading something second-hand simply because one believes it has an edge) does not typically work. Must make it one's own. Anyway, the passage says it much better than anything I could say about it. From Freedom from the Known.
