yes this is using the TT feed from velocity in this case... but keep in mind the platform is truly FCM agnostic... you can go to anyone with the TT Fix Adapter, so you are not tied 100% to velocity... they are a great FCM, but for DR purposes I would always recommend to have another backup gateway provider like advantage futures, crossland, MBFCC, NewEdge, etc...
I wanted to show 3 indicators within tradevec that I like.. specially on days like today that it seems range bound for some markets..
this is on S&P400...
- Time Calculator (will show you how many highs and lows within the timeframe, it will also show you how much time elapse to whatever you decide to "map")
- Price Calculator (will show you the range of the move that you select)
- Risk Reward Calculator (will show you the ranges and give you an idea as to what you can target)
I find them of use as they help me through out the day when i want to measure a move that I am curious about, or if i am being stopped out for whatever reason, etc.
You seem to be having a good grasp/understanding of the TradeVec platform. Please, from your understanding of profit/loss management on TradeVec, is it feasible to have the following profit/loss management auto-implemented (a kinda NinjaTrader ATM setup);
Target 2: 20 ticks (2 contract) --> Manually/Visually “drag” Target 2 up (for Long) or down (for Short) depending on favorable price movement, and which can make Target 2 much more than 20 ticks or a little less than 10 ticks.
Stop: 20 ticks or Manually Bailout at, say, 7 ticks loss
you can always manually bail out by pressing the X on the position column, that will get you out at market and cancel all your other orders. Moving the targets is easily done, so one can move one side manually and the rest will remain the same. You can also disable "repeat" which is what places the orders for every trade, and manually peel off the trades, or add to the trade... the orders for the stop/target within the strategy will adjust automatically.
I will structure a strategy as you state above and show the compound ruling... that is one thing I like a lot about it, and your case scenario is a good one to practice with.
A few questions.. I assume..
total entry is 4 contracts (Y/N?) BreakEven after how many ticks?
this was done on request for @lolu.. the trail stops are not there yet, but they will be on the 3.0 is release, which is what I am beta testing... everything you see today below is on the 2.5.2 version.
I first tried to show the strategy working and the trade executed right away and achieved its targets, so I had to go below the market with a limit order so it would remain on the screen... nice run up on the YM for those that captured it, specially since it has moved up about 50 points.. so there were lots of changes to capture some of the move over the past 20 minutes.
the strategy was created specifically for YM instruments only, so if one tries to select it for anything else, it wont let you.. something I like very much since the PT/SL are always reflected on the right ticks for the instrument.
As you can see the two stops will be reflected separately as each rule is defined with the "auto profit and stop loss" rules... I personally like to select the rule to synchronize my quantities, which means that the strategy order quantity will always be right and that is how many contracts will be purchase/sold. You can add as many targets as you like, I tested with up to 30 so far... but ensure to have the DOM expanded for the execution zones as it will clutter the zones..
the breakeven plus rules apply to the whole strategy, it is rather simple really..
I am working with Radin @ TradeVec for an upcoming webinar. Please reply and let me know what questions can be addressed and what specific items you want covered in the webinar.

2. Is there a reduction in the purchase cost/fee for TradeVec if all I want to use it for is Order execution/placement ?
3. Can I simultaneously use my TradeVec TT data-feed connection for my NT7; the NT7 would be for only charting.
