More realistic figure is my preference. It doesn't make much difference with futures (generally tight spread) but can be significant for small cap stocks.
Since you mentioned a sooner than expected beta 2: DOM - it needs to be a container within the workspace (like chart, scanner, position tracker windows)
Otherwise, it's an annoying separate app window that is in the way of other apps when minimizing or moving MC.
I agree, users should be able to pick - that's the spirit of MultiCharts. The challenge is NOT to create so many features that users drown in them. In the case of PnL, I think we will allow both modes of calculations (stored in IB broker profile), and you can choose which one you like.

Could you please tell us/me how you have set up your custom contract?
I've been looking at the symbol guide and have found the @ES# and @ES#C (Front Month back-adjusted history) as alternatives, but it would be nice to know from what you wrote how you have set up yours.
Thanks,
Laurus

The DOM should have the same capability as the other objects and how they interface with the workspace.
You want it separate - separate it. You want it in a workspace - dock it. It's the same functionality that is available elsewhere.
To state "I think the DOM should be separate like it is now" is ignorant and unhelpful. Not everyone operates the same way and the ability to dock is something that should have been offered from the beginning. Otherwise, what was the point of workspaces?
Hi,
I use the MCDT Beta with Zen-fire as trading feed, and IQfeed for historical.
When I now place an order and attach and Exit-Strategy i.e Master Strategy only the order were filled and the attached order ( Exit strategy) are not. They don't listed in the position tracker and don't shown in the chart. The strategy is for my opionen not attached.
