I noticed since Thu that my Ninja platform would freeze/pause occasionally (for a few seconds). For example, the bar timer (on a 1-minute chart) has not been counting down on a second basis. It stated Time remaining = 00:00:00 and all of a sudden showed 00:00:16 .. then back to 00:00:00 again. I tried it on my laptop and it's counting down on a second basis.
How can I find out what's burdening my computer so that I can adjust accordingly? Appreciate any tips. Thank you.
Your super-swift response has made my day/weekend. Thanks Cory!
When I try the short-cut, do I need to open my trading platforms as usual so that the software can perform an accurate diagnosis? Sorry for a newbie question as I am not technical at all.
maybe you should try to run Ninja without any other programs running to see if clock keeps the time. Run ccleaner after you close other running programs.
Thanks for the additional tip. I closed all charts and most programs. Now only Ninja is running with a 5-day 1-minute 6E bare chart (no indicators except bar timer) .. still the same, ie starting with around 00:00:18 .. strange. My laptop is better as it starts counting down around 00:00:54.
I downloaded Thinking Man software. Weird things happened .. my chart is not plotting anymore and got the following error message:
Bar timer disabled since either you are disconnected or current time is outside session time or chart end date
I placed a PriceLineWH indicator to see if the chart is plotting .. no .. stay there not moving. Bid/Ask/Last fields are moving on Control Center. I'm definitely connected with ZenFire.
Will send an email to NT CS .. maybe they have the answer .. my charts need to plot and I can go without a bar timer. Wish me luck.
I suspect your computer clock or time zone is not right after running Dimension4. Minute bars depends on the computer clock and the time stamp of the incoming data, you are going to see some weird things if they don't match.
Big Big Thank You to Cory who always responds to my sos swiftly!
Big Big Thank You to Omaha who suggests a simple and quick fix to my timing issue!
Big Big Thank You to Haverchuck for your prompt sharing!
My earlier non-plotting issue was caused by the chart setting (must be Default 24/7). Now everything is Great .. incl a functional Bar Timer which starts right at 00:00:59 .. haha .. Now I'm happy .. please .. please no more technical issues .. my heart cannot stand them anymore lol!
Enjoy a Beautiful weekend everyone. Ditto here. We have to relax .. zozozo less than 20 hours this week.
