Love to watch when I need a pick-me-up. It's so far remote from real life that it can't be real.
It's the funniest show on Aussie TV.
OK, I'm only half serious, but........................ really !!!!
Explanation: Right wing politics in Aussie is traditionally more aligned to Democrat politics in the US - the major conservative party here goes by the name of the Liberal Party - there's a wealth of bar tales there as you may imagine. But like the rest of the uncompromising planet that we all live on this is changing by the month - eg the climate changes one way and politics goes in the other way and science and reality become conspiracies. Oh the humanity!
BTW did you know that the Aussie Labor government this week passed its carbon tax/trading legislation against fierce resistance by the Liberal party that only a year ago were staunch supporters of carbon tax/trading legislation? Did you also know that the current Labor government is a minority government that only maintains power through support of independents and minor parties?
Dare I suggest that politicians can be disingenuous? Nah, that never happens
Oh you have to love politics - it's the best entertainment on TV
ps I'm politically neutral - I will vote for the party that offers the best policies for my company and me personally. Darn it, yes, OK I admit it I'm a cynical voter and out for what I can get for the entity that feeds me and my family. Most people aren't like me at all are they?
Maybe "What TV series do you watch?" can be expanded to:
"What do you watch?" There is so much on DVD. TV series,
movies, documentaries, how-to fix up the house shows, etc. etc.
Also, one could ask it as:
"What do you want to watch?"
A funny movie that isn't a romantic comedy?
A action movie that isn't sci-fi?
What about a hit TV show set in Alaska with quirky characters?
If Northern Exposure is on TV in reruns, I must have missed it.
It is on DVD however. This is not a recommendation, just an
example. Some of the futures.io (formerly BMT) members have seen stuff others
have not. It is just a different way to posting to this thread.
(If someone has suggested this idea already I'm sorry to have
repeated it here.)
I like watching such stuff myself. Recently ( and not for the first time ) there
has been a challenge to the speed limit of the universe. The speed of light.
Also the universe is expanding...at an increasing rate. This was not expected
to be the case a while back, to my knowledge. Basically this means
that physicists don't understand gravity. If the universe is expanding, it should
be doing so at an ever decreasing rate.
Dark energy. Dark matter. They have no real idea about these either.
