Thats by design ... It sets the window to the active window when the mouse enters but does nothing when the mouse exits. (setting another sierra window to the active one ).
Yes it works well when I switch from one chart to another. But not when I switch from a chart to one of my DOM's. I use two copies of Sierra, one for charting and one for execution.
I see your point when having multiple sierras running.
I added the functionality that the title/menu disappears when mouse exits (or another window is activated).
It still sets the window to the active one when entering, even when the title/menu disappears it is still the active one until another window is activated.
I called the new zipfile ktsierra-1.1.1.7.zip, however and uploaded it to the existing download entry. However when its download it is called ktsierra-1.1.1.6.zip (same as the prior filename) - the content however is correct (version 1.1.1.6), so i guess filenames of downloads can not be changed?
I realized this thread didn't have a screenshot of the final product, so here it is:
I asked Sierra Chart to do this the first time probably about a year ago, I hadn't realized it was possible to do it within their programming environment, so want to thank @ktrader once again for doing it.
This is brilliant!!!
This is like a dream come true or something
Didn't even ask for it from SC since I knew it wouldn't be done.
I love SC and it's a super product, but dealing with them thru their board is not always a pleasant interaction... to say the least.
I'm moving the price/value scale all the time (see picture, area in yellow box) and I'm using +20 charts on 4 screens.
Since any touch of a chart window makes it pop open, and than pop close, this really strains the eyes after a while.
With hovering this really is a spectacle
I started ALL my charts with this study (to gain screen real estate) and gradually dropped it from about half of the charts I touch all the time... which are sadly the charts I really need to "chop" these areas from.
If it's easy to ID the price/value scale and make it indifferent to the study when touching it with the mouse it would be nice.
A better approach would be to add a "lock" like only when left clicking a chart with CTRL down it will bring back the hidden parts.
That way we'll be able to not just move the price/value scale, but also draw on a chart with out it popping all the time or change periodicity, bar types etc.
In simple words?
This way we'll be able to really work with this study as default on ALL our charts
