You would have to change the formatting of every cell holding $ formattimg, including some hidden sheet, then you would have to change some formatting strings in the code. It's all not too difficult but it would probably take you a long time and I doubt it is worth the time spent.
Have a look in Post#2, there is a little migration guide.
If you have any further questions or you feel the migration guide is missing sth, just give a shout.
I have read post #2, and there is absolutely no explanation of how to import from one version to the next. It points one to an importer, and that is only for importing data from NT (by the way I get error messages from it it seems useless for me - have posted this error sometime ago in the thread but no response).
I have now used the "import old journal" on the Overview sheet, it does import the info, but it also import the BUG from version 4.1 that you corrected in ver 4.3 (the "Max MAE to display ticks").
Sorry, you are right, there was no description in post #2. I added there that it is in fact the import old journal button.
As to the importer, I can't really help there as it is by @petrmac who doesn't seem to be around too regularly...
The bug shouldn't get imported, I will have a closer look hopefully sometime today or tomorrow ...
Thanks for the advice, sorry for only getting a chance to reply now. I still cant figure out a way to do this (maybe I didn't explain the problem properly?). The issue lies in the fact that on my trade stats sheet, each line represents an individual trade. It is simple enough to add a column to indicate the drawdown, but then when I try create a chart off of that column, it doesn't summarise daily but instead charts every line item. I dont care if I had an intraday drawdown, what I care about is whether or not I was in a drawdown at the end of the day.
For example if I have 3 trades today with the 1st one being a loss of $100, then the next two having a profit of $200 each. At the end of the day there was no drawdown and I was positive $300. When I chart the drawdown chart it will show that todays drawdown was -$100 (ie: from the 1st trade of the day). But that is not corrrect because by the end of the day that drawdown no longer exists.
I have attached a spreadsheet to try and illustrate the issue.
The bug should be gone now, no other changes since 4.1. There are Beta versions with extended commissions calculations which should better suit some other financial products.
I would appreciate some feedback if I should include that in the next rel …
