Thanks again for the great indicator. I recently started using the Market Analyzer and have gotten just about everything configured properly, but for some reason I am running into a couple of problems with getting divergence alerts. The ABC alerts work great on different time frames.
1) I tried using just one MA template for different divergence alert time frames, but the plot "DivergenceSignals" would only appear on the daily time frame when I first applied your latest template. When I added another column for a different divergence alert time frame the plot for "DivergenceSignals" was missing. I got around this by creating separate templates for different time frames. Is this the only way to do this?
2) For some reason after creating separate templates for different time frames for the divergence alerts I get nothing. I can look on my charts and see the divergence alerts and there is no problem whatsoever, but in MA there are no alerts.
I've attached a few screenshots and a Word document of the cell conditions to show you what I am talking about. The first shot is just showing MA with no divergence alerts. The second shot shows the normal configuration. The third shot is what happens when I try and add another column with a different time frame. In the plot section there is no option for "DivergenceSignals".
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Also, I'm a novice coder, but trying to learn.
@cal1152, it works fine on my end even in one Market Analyzer (see screenshot) which I mainly use for stocks on higher time frames. But it should work on every time frame.
One thing you can check is, if you have set the property "# of bars to look back" in the "General" section to something like 500. The indicator needs enough bars to calculate everything. The # depends on the swing size. A bigger swing size needs more bars to look back as a smaller swing size.
And in the "Plot" property you should get a list, where you can choose DivergenceSignals.
Would anybody be able to change the PAS PRO to allow zigzag lines to show up in secondary panels when applied to indicators? The dot points show up however the zigzag lines do not.
Thanks for your input. I rechecked.....in the plot list after loading the initial template the plot "DivergenceSignals" disappears if I try and add an additional column. The property the property "# of bars to look back" is set at 500 for all of the templates. There has got be a setting or something I am missing. Any other ideas of things I could check?
It slows the PC down a little, but not much. I'd much prefer to have just 1 template for different time frames but I am pulling my hair out over that issue.
@dorschden ....I created a dual time frame template, daily and 15 minute. When you have a chance would you mind looking at this template and seeing if I am setting it up wrong? In the plot properties....I still get no option for "DivergenceSignals".
Just a quick note in case anyone ever has the same type of problem I had with setting up MA with multiple ABC and Divergence time frames. Simple solution....if all else fails...start over from scratch. I uninstalled PAS and reinstalled it. That, with some template help from dorschden fixed the problem. Evidently, I must have messed up the coding in PAS and just needed to install a fresh version.
Below is a screenshot the template.......must better than having 6 templates for various time frames.......
Very cool. How often do you actually get two or three time frames actually lining up, and a good signal that works out? Appreciate your description, thx, gh skype = Greg.Hohman
