I'm 32 and for many years I promised myself I'd look into investing, I was apprehensive as it looked complicated.

So around 6 months ago I started to dabble with plus500 with varying degrees of success. Most importantly, it got me more interested.

Since then I have listened to the following books on audible,

Naked trader
Trading in the zone
Day trade online

I have also, getting started in stocks waiting to be listened to, I started it but stopped, not sure if I found it a little dry or not.

I have been to heathrow to attend a beginners naked trader seminar where we familiarised ourselves with level 2 on advfn. I found it all quite valuable and it gave me a better understanding at how to evaluate whether a company may go up or down.

I also watch Bloomberg now and again, just to further educate myself with lingo, get a feel for what will effect a company, commodity or currency. I'm slowly picking it up bit by bit.

I also enjoyed investopedia to explain things in laymans.

I have a share trade account which I've not used yet, I use tradefair for some spread betting. I have an ig account which I hear may be more efficient than the tradefair.

I just wondered if there's any pointers to where to maybe head next. If there's maybe any must read books or must watch seminars.

It's just so vast, I'm trying to find slight direction.

@Stevolution:

You may check out this thread for highly recommended books / must reads:

And you may also want to check out the huge selection of great webinars, which you can find here: Trading Webinars, Trading Videos - Big Mike Trading Forum

Of course you cannot read all of the books and watch all of the webinars, but IMO there you'll find a lot of great stuff and you can choose what topic fits best to your interests.
