Same here. Thank you Mike and all who post here in the spirit intended (which is very noticeable.) I'm still a baby in here but in 13 years it is enough treasure to complement my own work and that's all I could ask.
ET has some older history of useful information but difficult to find. Like others have said, it's like searching through a dirty old sawmill and haystacks, an almost unorganized morass. The web design and functionality of the site controls seem like it's never been updated in ten years. The culture there seems to be like BBS-style anonymous where there are no avatar pics, and there is no "thanking" or rating system. The moderators , if there are any seem to be not much more than automated bots. ET has immense posting participation and journals also, however unmoderated like almost anything goes. Overall futures.io (formerly BMT) is more fun and supportive to hang out at, although I do make the occasional trip to ET to search for extra information and more "reviews".
Personally I'm on this site to learn from other traders and share what I know, not to socialize, and in my experience futures.io (formerly BMT) is the best site for that purpose. IMO what makes it great is the vision of the administration and caliber of moderation which attracts the sort of talent I want to rub shoulders with (but also because the site suppresses puerile, uninformed, irrelevant and provocative blather of the sort quoted in the first post which drives me stark, raving bonkers).
I'll be sure to send my medical files and 10 years of tax reports as well. Again, ridiculous.
Your insanity is showing. 30k elite members?? You are out of your mind. It is true that most of the active members of the site are Elite Members, but you clearly don't have the slightest understanding of how social media works to arrive at your figure.
I am not taking kick backs from vendors. Dangerous ground making such an accusation, so you had better prove it. I turn away vendors left and right because they want to work on 'affiliate' models (aka kick backs). None of that crap is allowed on my site, but you will definitely find it on other trading forums.
I already told you that Baron has way more ad revenue than me.
Some public analytics:
You'll notice that even though the trend is quite clear on both, ET still shows a higher figure on the chart. Plus on futures.io (formerly BMT), Elite Members can (and do) disable ads. We ask them not to, but it is up to them if they want to disable them in their user control panel on the site.
ET also has a lot more "sponsorship" slots all over their forum and generates a lot of money from that. We don't have anything similar. Without a doubt, Baron is making more in ad revenue. And he should be, his site is 4 times older than mine so he has a lot of history and a lot of business relationships that work to his advantage.
Am I going to tell you how many Elite Members we have? No I am not. I also am not going to tell you my net worth, nor show you my tax returns. But your math is way, way off. It's not even remotely close.
WTF are you talking about.... the site is private, you do not have a constitutional right to be here. I take it you were banned on futures.io (formerly BMT), probably for posting rude and ridiculous posts like what you are doing here on ET, and now you just spend all your time picking fights.
You have it all wrong about vendors. I get threats of legal action constantly from vendors who demand I remove the negative reviews about them on my site. I stand up for and fight for those to stay. I can also tell you without a doubt, that other forums have removed threads at the request of a paid sponsor because the thread put the sponsor in a bad light. I have received a few such requests myself, and I have NOT respected the request and I made it clear to the sponsor that this isn't that type of business arrangement.
Naturally, if a user is being rude and obnoxious, then they will be banned. Unlike other forums, we don't allow that type of activity here.
So you have it completely backwards... once again.
Get ready for the short squeeze.
Completely false, once again. While other forums have strict policies for not allowing competitor websites to be mentioned or linked to, futures.io (formerly BMT) does not. We also don't have a word censor unlike other forums which are forced to implement them due to their audience. We are adults here.
We do not delete links. As you can see, there are over 500 results in Google's index linking to ET from futures.io (formerly BMT).
I am sorry to inform you that I have changed nothing. The only thing that has happened is I have had a good laugh, you have made a fool of yourself, and we both have wasted a great deal of time.

ET doesn't hold a candle to futures.io (formerly BMT),
not even a dim one.
there is more credibility in the quality of most (not always all) participants on futures.io (formerly BMT), than ever, on ET
ET is around a lot longer, but appeals to a vastly different crowd,
if some over educated formerly employed MBA (and higher), who is no longer in his prior job (Managing Director, Head Trader, Division Head, whatever, then when they come down to the real Wall Street, where the high school drop outs and unemployed janitors walk, then they are just as ordinary and common as others on the threads, whether on ET or futures.io (formerly BMT).
to suggest that ET has more of these so called elites, is really meaningless. I am glad that BigMike refuted that claim, and stated he refused to trade barbs and insults over these issues.
any fool can succeed when he's given a finely tuned, well oiled trading operation to over see.
the challenge is can he reproduce that success on his own with no advantage what so ever?
when an honest answer results, then you'll choose futures.io (formerly BMT), not ET
when a self congradulatory (delusional) answer results, then you'll find good company on ET.

Can you send me that indicator please? I see a number of solid entries there.
You can call nexusfi.com (formerly BMT) many things but pro-vendor ain't one of them. As an evil vendor myself, I think 'firm but fair' is the approach to vendors here. People are irrational when it comes to vending, so Mikes approach of having people he's checked out come & do webinars is being looked at as being some sort of mass shill.
