Could somebody point me where I can add a line of code to alert user if a gomcd divergence occurs?
I can program it, just need help where I can put this line of code.
Dear gretzkyless and coders.
I tried to put your code into strategy analyzer to see how it´s working but compiler tells me always that
"PriceActionSwing.Utility.SwingTypes.Standard"
"is no valid method / not valid in context".
When I search for a solution I cannot find a "PriceActionSwing.Utility....... in my indicators at all, I think I am using a wrong indicator version. I tried to reinstall several downloads from download area and your posted versions, but it doesn´t work, could you help me - or other member ?
Thanks. Kind regards, Christoph
@resist - indicator works fine. Would need to speak with creator of indicator i think to put into a strategy since I think this indicator was only meant for illustrative purposes. Trying to figure out how to possibly use the logic in a trading strategy I'm trying to create. If I'm able to figure out, I will post here without giving too much of my strategy away.
Is there any problem with the Price Action Swing Oscillator indicator when Volume is selected for indication?
I used this indicator to plot the volume trend and crashed my NT all day yesterday. The NT will start but as soon as I click on a chart, menu, or anywhere on control panel, or even try to close the NT, the NT will gray out and go into an un-ending spin with my computer running like crazy.
My Fix: I could not get any help anywhere so I forced shutdown the program again, deleted a file called "_Workspces.XML" then restarted the program with only the Control Panel and was able to rebuild the Workspace I was previously using without this indicator and things are fine for now.
Wondering if anyone had similar issues with the Volume indication option.
that's strange. I normally don't use volume as swing indication. but anyway tried a few things. applied it to several charts, created a template and even a workspace. so far everything still working fine.
it would really surprise me if the problem is this indicator.
It surprises me too. There may be a couple of reasons that I am not sure of:
1. Does it function when you set the COBC to false with Volume selected for trend?
2. Would that be a "Sunday" issue (market closed or hardly moves) when COBC = false is looking for an uptick or down tick for calculating the ZIg-Zag and volume trend?
As I mentioned, I deleted the Workspaces.XLM file last night and things seem to be fine for now. I have not dared to load the indicator again
It could very well be that I had a corrupt Workspaces.XMl file. I should remember this fix for future if it happens again. But frankly, I was loosing my patience and was getting ready to ditch NT - ZenFire and use my TOS account.
does anyone have the "PriceActionTrend.cs" file? I downloaded the latest version of the Priceactionswing indicator and the trend one is no longer installed....
