I am familiar with using Market Profile (Volume Profile) in the context of stock indices (DAX, FTSE, S&P, etc.) where there is a specific "session" start-time, end-time, RTH, O/N, etc.

However, forex (spot forex, not futures) is 24hour. So, for Market Profile purposes, when should I start the profile? I've tried various, e.g. start of London session (since this is when the volume starts to increase after the quiet Asian period), start of US session (e.g. 8am EST). Or perhaps I should align to the futures (which is 7:20am Chicago?).

Any advice or ideas about what works best?
