Well, since we're talking about muscle...I thought I'd throw up a pic of the bird I used to fly....a Boeing 747-300. She's a -200 model with a -400 wing on her and GE CF-6 power.....51,800 lbs of thrust at sea level....per engine! Heavy Metal....(think Iron Maiden) ....similar in overbearing obnoxiousness to a 67' 427 tri-power vette.

She was a real dream to fly....as long as you didn't get on her bad side.

Happy 4th of July everyone!

That's a big aircraft...still the king of the sky, you used to fly cargo?

Lol...now you've got me wondering. I suggested cargo as it was lacking any livery, so thinking it was a cargo transport 747. What were you flying around Johnny?

I love spitfires and mustangs...and those Merlin engines!

What powers the kit?

XS

The original P-51D had the V 12 Rolls Royce Merlin engines.

The 3/4 scale Thunder Mustang uses a Falconer V-12 engine. The carbon fiber kit gives a power to weight ratio that outperforms the original North American P-51D fighter.

The engine was designed by Ryan Falconer who I understand is known for making car racing engines.

The use of a V 12 in the kit gives the Thunder Mustang a "Purr" like the original Mustang's V 12

640 HP Falconer V-12 @ 4800 rpm

Nice piece of kit to go with a nice kit!

Now, I have to ask...what's the cost of a full kit with the v12?

Serious muscle...thanks for the aircraft stuff guys.

The base kit is just under $300k. That includes everything but the instruments and upholstery. A lot more if you want "builder assistance" to do the assembly instead of doing the build yourself. Here is the website for more details:
