I would like to get this to work.
The TWSStart intallation instructions says "no installation required" but after downloading the zip nothing happened. Upon opening the zip I see TWSStart.exe and TWSStart.jar. Do I open or run one of these (or both)?
The support tab on the TWSStart homepage gives "error 404".
Thanks

i downloaded ibcontroller 2.9.. unzipped and clicked on the jar file, and nothing happened.
it seemed like that is what the instructions in the readme said to do.
anyone suggest what to do to bring it up ?

Try using ib gateway instead, if you have another trading platform like Ninja or Sierra. I don't even load TWS at all (thankfully). IB Gateway has no forced log off problem.

I found this as the best description of how to set it up. It worked for me:
