I have long realised that they Buy Sell to themselves or how it´s explainable that E.g the ES, made his new highs mostly after RTH, like the new ATH during the current night session?
I think "wash trading" is virtually undetectable. E.g. one firm uses two HFT systems or ownes a second arcane offshore company.
CME dont allow buy sell to same account they restrict it. But can you have 2 HFT linked accounts.
From the link on scribd Posting again for lazy traders like me who don't want to dig deep or press breadcrumb links - Exploratory Trading Job Market Paper
"As a group, the 30 HFTs in my sample achieve size-weighted average aggressive order performance of $7.01 per contract. On an individual basis, nine HFT accounts exceed the relevant $6.25 + fees profitability hurdle, and each of these nine accounts exceeds this hurdle by a margin that is statistically significant at the 0.05 level. One of these nine accounts is linked with another HFT account, and their combined average performance also significantly exceeds the profitability hurdle."
So your thesis is that this kind of move should lead to reversal? How much of a reversal relative to the move? Have you tested/been trading this profitably?
"It is an art in which one can become highly expert and more and more successful as experience sharpens his instincts and judgment and shows him what to avoid."
Yes, but even an artist can explain how they do things, or their thought process. You are being vague because it covers up a lack of, well, knowing what you're doing.
