Hi-

I am currently using tradestation for strategy trading, and looking to implement a "portfolio" level strategy on a network of selected ticker symbols to all run the same strategy to provide more trading opportunities as well as to spread risk. I wish Tradestation would allow strategy trading from a radar screen but it doesn't appear to do so. Does anyone have any software they can recommend for this or if it is possible in Tradestation could you please shine light on the option.

how many instruments?

I ran a few dozen pairs trading strategies with TS just by spawning a bunch of chart windows. Not ideal, but doable.

With OOEL you can send orders from indicators in Tradestation. Although I have never tried it in Radarscreen, this might work for you.

You can trade from the Scanner in Multicharts.NET (the scanner is comparable to Radarscreen in TS). However this requires you to rewrite your code to C# or VB.NET.
Both Multicharts (regular and .NET) have Portfolio Trading targeted for version 9.0, but as far as I know there is no definite date when it will be released.

Regards,
ABCTG

This is exactly what I was asking in another thread. I was wondering if there was a way to automatically pickup an opportunity from a RadarScreen and trade it using a strategy. I mean what's the point of automating a strategy, if you have to hand initiate it?
