I've been with with Optimus and I have had no troubles at all with their Rithmic feed. I've been with them over 3 years and I'm extremely happy. Super fast executions..very low slippage..and I trade CL, which moves with a lot of speed and volatility. You might want to check them out.
In addition to a ZenFire broker, I have an account with TOS. They charge a little higher commissions, but there are no data or platform costs. Plus, you can trade basically any instruments, equities, options, etc. under one account. The parent company TDA is one of the most respected in industry.
Technologically, while the platform charting is limited in terms of customization, their tool set is perhaps one of the most comprehensive on the market (and sometimes overwhelming).
I would seriously consider to move my major activities over there.
I am also considering to transfer my account to amp. to be honest, before the recent issues, i was happy with zenfire and the new mirus webtrader as backup seemed great. i´d be willing to give them a couple of more days, but when you go through all the trading forums, it´s scary to see how many people are pulling out. just wondering, how safe are my funds, mirus only is introducing broker, funds are with rcg. anything to worry about if many more customers abandon ship and mirus close up shop?
They told me they didn't know if my order had been executed about 4 hours ago, couldn't get onto the platform since and then I decided to phone Dorman....
...who tell me I have an order in the market which is 12 points negative.
Edit: Might only be 6 points... will know tomorrow. Still pissed!
My guess is that Mirus is a small portion of RCG's total business (pure speculation on my part). Plus a bunch of people are with Dorman too, not just RCG. My guess is that your funds will be fine even if Mirus goes under, since they just an IB and are not clearing anything themselves. And I might add that if this continues for much longer, Mirus may very well go under. I have rarely seen such a colossal screw-up... years of reputation wiped out in a single week by one bone-headed decision to push forward with technology that was clearly not ready. Let this be a warning to all the other brokers reading this thread, your reputation is a precious thing that must be preserved on a daily basis by consistent and honest actions. It can very easily be destroyed if you're not careful.
Even if all clients would run way from mirus - your funds should be ok at RCG or Dorman or ? (ignoring any other wrongdoings or "lost" orders in your account)
