Hallo,

IB offers a CSharp-Client to connect via API to TWS. It works good for trading stocks. To submit an order I define for example: SecType = "STK", Symbol = "DUK", Exchange = "NYSE", Currency = "USD", OrderType = "MKT", OrderAction = "SELL", TotalQuantity = 70.

When I try to submit an order for the corresponding CFD-Contract I define SecType = "CFD" and Exchange = "IBCFD". Unfortunately I get the error message: 200 No security definition has been found for the request.


Does anyone know which parameters I have to use?

I contacted IB and they answered that I have to use Exchange = "SMART". I will give it a try today or tomorrow.
