OK, I give up. Shading a single channel is easy, but I cannot figure out how to shade multiple bands, like the 1/2/3 std dev above and below VWAP.

Someone please show me how to set the draw style graph settings so each standard deviation is a separate fill color, but stops filling on the top and bottom of last band.

One way is to use Transparent Fill Top and Bottom for each pair of standard deviation graphs. The colors shade over top of each other, but if you play around with the color selection it comes out looking pretty nice.

You can also add multiple instances of the VWAP study, and use Fill Top/Fill Bottom pairs of draw styles for one band in each instance. This gives you more control of the look.

The order they appear in the Studies To Graph List affects what is displayed on top. The lower ones in the list are painted on top of higher ones in the list.

I want the first band (SD1) around the VWAP to not be filled (just regular chart background), and then SD2 and SD3 to each have their own unique fill colors.

When I try making SD1 just a line, it gets filled in by SD2 fills.

Using multiple instances will give you this flexibility. You'll need one instance for the outer bands, one for the first band set to Fill Top/Fill Bottom with the same color as chart background, and a third for the VWAP line.

You could also do everything with one VWAP study and one Spreadsheet Study study.

OK thanks. It seems a bit odd to require multiple instances just to paint bands, but I'll let it slide I'll mess with this some more and let you know if I still can't figure it out.

If you want multiple fill areas, then you have to use multiple pairs of fill top/bottom. Then to draw a line, add another subgraph with a type of line. The order of the subgraphs is kind of important, as it draws sg1 first, then 2, etc. So you want a top/bottom, top/bottom, and line (line could be first, third or fifth in this example). For the line to be an outline of one of the fill areas, just assign it the same values as the top or bottom accordingly.

Are you saying I can do this with a single instance of VWAP? If so, could you please spell it out for me with a screenshot of settings?

I want the inside band (1st SD) not colored, then bands 2 and 3 different colors from each other.

I don't think it can be done in one VWAP due to the order of the subgraphs. You can do it with a bit of a hack by adding moving averages study and writing over top the middle area with background color.
