If using NT for charting, but not for trading. Is there a way to import your trades from a broker (e.g. IB) or from a standard format (e.g. excel) onto a chart in NT. So in effect, painting on the trade points after the event , e.g. after market close.

There are other applications such as Market System Analyzer where you can import trades in CSV format in order to examine performance, money management, etc. But I think you mean something else.

But yeah...I just wanted an automatic system to mark my trades on the NT chart, without having to resort to something like paint to do it manually. I trade with IB, but use NT charting and thought it would be useful to mark up trades as part of a journal exercise.

I too have had the same need. I’m thinking about whether this could be programmatically achieved, I mean, load trades from a CSV file and show them (with some extra stats) in a chart. Mmm… If I find a way I’ll inform you.
