Listing up a few names. The list is not complete, but covers the most commonly used trading software.

Broker-independent software:

- Amibroker (budget)
- Ensign Windows
- eSignal (+ data provider)
- CQG (+ data provider)
- Investor RT
- MetaStock
- MetaTrader
- MultiCharts
- Neoticker
- NinjaTrader
- Sierra Chart
- Tradecision
- TradeStation

Broker dependent software:

- IB Trader Workstation
- ThinkOrSwim
- TradeStation
- Wealth-Lab

My personal short list (alphabetic order):

MultiCharts (Easy language or C#/.Net)
NinjaTrader (C#/.Net)
SierraChart (C++)
TradeStation (Easy Language)

Not in my short list:

Amibroker(scripting language, architecture)
Ensign Windows (small customer base)
eSignal (don't like the scripting language, too expensive, otherwise good)
Investor RT (outdated)
Metastock (outdated)
MetaTrader (FOREX focus, frontend which is part of broker software)
Neoticker (slowly dying)
Tradecision (small customer base)

Trading software depends on your method, skills, trading background, etc.
The more details you provide, the more you provide the more specific the feed you will get.

I suggest AmiBroker and SierraChart.
Both are miles ahead of i.e.
MultiCharts
Ninjatrader
TradeStation
Metastock

Amibroker(scripting language, architecture)

AFAIK, EL is scripting language too.
But if there are problems with scripting language then AmiBroker offers programming in C/C++, .Net etc. also.
UI is similar to MS Visual Studio using MDI Multiple document interface - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Not true. You can trade (automated trading & chart trading) with AmiBroker .........

I used for some times years ago Amibroker and there was only possible, like I read on their website, automated trading with trading interface to Interactive Broker, that's still in beta.
