On Sim ... I am not crazy ... but it looks good and chart painted good, so i think it can be sucessfull ... this week it runs on sim and then i will show
1. mechanical trading system
or
2. automatic trading system
you are right, the spread(bid/ask) and consolidation is killing you on smaller ticks like 4 range mean on forex ... i would select a higher ticksize for testing now
the results from analyser calculate without market conditions ... the analyzer
enhances the results to the best what is not the reality but the renkos works fine ...
I don't mean to be offensive, but if you alter Renko to have tails & update on tick by tick basis isn't what you end up with a candlestick chart? That's exactly I was trying to get away from (all the up&down&up&down movement - confusing me as to whether to go long or short) by using Renko. Renko calmed the noise. I'd like to see Renko taken a step further in the same direction - eventually - just a sine wave of price movement so you could enter at any point on the wave, just so long as you entered in the direction of the wave. Now there's a programming challenge! Anyone up to it?
