I just recently bought a new computer Dell laptop. Windows 8.1 version 64 bit. When installed standalone TWS 9395 and latest API 9.71 version from IB site everytime when i go to Global configuration on TWS says API access is disabled. When i drop dropdown API setting its blank and it says API access is disabled. Tried to reinstol TWS and API numerous times same result. I have a java as well installed as well. Everything works fine on my old computer windows 7 but not on new with windows 8.1. Anybody have solution for this? Thank you in advance.
