There may be a problem with the chart for gold futures on my TWS platform. Attached is the chart for GC continuous September. It shows in the chart that the transactions are sparse. Is this instrument really so illiquid ? Does anyone have the same problem with TWS ?

The September GC contract is about to expire. You should switch to the December contract. That's where the volume is at the moment.

The active months for Comex gold are February, April, June, August and December. For silver use March, May, July, September and December.
