Recent trending of E-mini S&P500

I am a beginner in trading. I am still just learning about the market and been trying to learn how to spot market trends. I been observing E-mini S&P500 the past few days, and trying to get the feel of the market on the simulator. I know the market is kinda in the dump at the moment. I wanna ask long time trader has the market moving slower than usual? or moving differently the past few days, which the trending isn't as obvious and more difficult to trade during this time? I just want to know what some of you guys think.

P.S. I hope some of you can help me look for some resources to learn how to trade. I understand some fundamental about money management (rule 1# "Don't lose money"). I have some idea about charting, but I want to know more what the look for in the chart, trading psychology, and develop my own trading strategy.

hi flyingape - many people in this forum would agree that in terms of resources this very forum is a great place to start for beginners. There's plenty of information across a number of sub-forums - threads about psychology, money management, journaling, you name it.

Regarding the E-mini S&P500 I would recommend taking a look at a market-preparation thread that DyonisusToast updates daily for that product, here's a link to that thread.
