It seems like someone has developed code for Renko charts. I'm not familiar with them, nor do I use them; however, you can find the code at Share-TOS. The name of the code is Renko_R1V1.
But renko on thinkorswim has quite lot of issues such as last couple of bars just disappear. That way you cannot trade off renko. I have also seen twice the bars disappear from the middle. That happened once last week but not daily basis. Also even though I specify 5tick but for some instruments minimum ticks is 10, such as natural gas. Then on any given day that minimum default changes to 11tick or 12 tick.
Anyone had a better experience on renko on thinkorswim platform
The minimum renko ticks depends on the timeframe. The lower the timeframe the less ticks you can have. So for example /NG 1 day you can go down to 2 ticks min, on 10 days its not letting me go lower than 13 ticks.
