daily chart of Nikkei index vs USD/JPY, see that it correlates strongly to the USD side, and anything that happens to the dollar tends to get reflected in Nikkei price. There are short periods where dollar is not dominant in Nikkei and it roughly follows what other major indices are doing, but generally is you follow the dollar you can trade the Nikkei.
Are you sure it's not the other way around?

With a few different Niikei 225 contracts what do you watch to get a good gauge on on order flow ?
Watch the big Osaka contract and execute through the mini?

You only need to look at the mini. It has the highest institutional liquidity.

Do you guys know how to setup this in NT for AMP/CQG ? Here's what I have so far:
Master Instrument: MJNK
Tick Size : 5
Session Template: ???
Exchanges: ??? (ose?)
Misc/SymbolMap/CQG: MJNK
I understand there's no historical backfill, just RT. Thanks for your help.

The symbol is JNM in NinjaTrader . if you edit the symbol, you will see under symbol map that it maps to MJNK for CQG

Thanks for the info, but I don't see JNM in NT here. I use version 7.0.1000.31. Would you be so kind and provide the details how it is setup on your rig? Thanks in advance.

@Jaba , I was curious about this instrument and fwiw, I've same NT version and it is at least listed in the Instrument Manager even though I don't have a feed for it apparently, maybe check with NT support why it's not there.

Hi Yuri
Are you saying movements in USDJPY is a good leading indicator for movements in the mini Nikkei 225?
I'm looking for more info on correlations.

Good call, the market was above 16400 nearly the whole day, until the close when we hit 16365.
Where did you get out ? You gave a stop, but not a profit target.
