I want to switch from Tradestation to Multicharts. I downloaded the 30 day Demo for Multicharts and whenever I import an indicator I get error messages. No matter what indicator I import there always is errors.

I must be leaving out a step but I use exactly what Multi charts suggests on their site. Anyone have any detailed instructions for importing from Tradestation to Multi Charts?

Thanks

Rick

Rick,

what is the error message you receive? Can you post a code sample that you try to import?

Regards,

ABCTG

I am getting the following no matter what I try to compile that is imported from tradestation:

Compilation Error (errLine 0, errColumn 0, errLineEnd 0, errColumnEnd 0)

Multi charts has a number of things to check or change as this is something that happens frequently. But nothing works for me. Perhaps I am importing wrong. I just use the import and then go to the tradestation indicator that I have downloaded on my computer before it was placed into tradestation.

Perhaps I need to use the indicator that is verified by tradestation?

In any event I sure could use some help

Rick

riccja,

this happens from time to time and is usually not related to your code, but to the platform itself.
You can find some steps to fix it here or contact the MC helpdesk directly as they will be able to fix it:

https://www.multicharts.com/trading-software/index.php/Compilation_Error_(errLine_0,_errColumn_0,_errLineEnd_0,_errColumnEnd_0)

Regards,

ABCTG

Try:

Close powerlanguage editor
Close multicharts
Reboot computer
Open multicharts
open powerlanguage editor THROUGH multicharts (not through shortcut links but through multicharts program itself

Have had this issue many times over in the past and, for some reason or another, this seems to get rid of that error.
