Hi everyone,

I am trying to code a Linear Regression Channel on a TSI Indicator in Tradestation. I have an indicator that plot this LRC on the price series but as it uses the "TL_New" reserved word I can not get it working on the TSI Indicator.

I have attached a screenshot were it is shown how the LRC looks in the price series.

Anyone knows how I can get it working or just some advice?

Thanks in advance.

TornadoES,

unfortunately this is not exactly supported with legacy EasyLanguage in Tradestation. However you might be able to walk around this by using one of the two methods described in this thread in the official TS forum.

Another approach would be to use OOEL for your trendlines. All approaches will require some more programming or have limitations/downsides (like the first method described in the link), though.

Regards,

ABCTG

Thanks for your help ABCTG.

It is possible to use OOEL for the trendlines if I use range bars?

TornadoES,

you are welcome. The underlying chart settings shouldn't matter. With OOEL you can draw trendlines accurately by tying them to either bars or datetime values, which is required to make them accurate on range bars, too.

Here is the link to the TS forum where it seems that the Tradestation employees managed to code the LRC in the TSI indicator.

I have also attached a screenshot and the code just in case someone need to use this LRC and do not have access to the TS forum.
