I'm trying to figure out how to trade 1 instrument based on input from another.
Got around 0 experience with MultiCharts, so sorry for noob question.

Any examples would be appreciated.

there are several possibilities, all might require some programming, though.
You could use the second symbol as Data 2 on your chart and access the information you require this way.
You could send in the data you require from a second chart via external DLLs.
You could construct a Portfolio Trader entry signal and money management signal that accomplishes what you want.

Not knowing what you need exactly it's hard to give you an example, but I'd suggest to explore the first method as you will likely find the most examples for that in the official MC forum (and maybe here, too) and Multicharts help/wiki.
