Hi,

I would like to know how I can read data from a text file by Easy Language in MultiCharts.
I can write data to file by using "Print" function but can not find any function for reading data.

Thanks in advance

ShahramTor,

I would suggest taking a look at EasyLanguage Collections. It provides functions to read files into EasyLanguage and the documentation will provide you with the examples you need.

Does EasyLaguage Collection work with regular MC or just .Net?

Shahram,

it was designed for Tradestation originally, but will work with regular Multicharts, too.

The only example code I find about it defines the libraries like this:
Using elsystem;
Using elsystem.io;
Using elsystem.collections;

These are not recognized by MC? How do I do that in MC?

Best Regards

Shahram

Shahram,

this is Tradestation code that won't work in MC due to OOEL.

I'd suggest to search the official MC forums. This should provide a good start:

ShahramTor,

all examples contained in the manual, that should be included in the link I posted, will work in Multicharts.
