I am new around here and had a quick question i am hoping to get some suggestions on.

When day trading the ES, do you leave off the after hours and pre market trading?

Thanks!

you need to reference the high and low of the after hours trading. those reference points will have value. i do not look at much else. how ever if the after hours trading is above or below the pit settlement. you have a gap ...you will need to how how to trade a gaps. that is a study in its self. hope it helps

I second what Forgiven said and you can learn about statistical relevance of after hours high low, initial balance levels and similar ideas from the FuturesTrader71 webinars.
