I created a NT strategy that I haven't touched since ~2012-13 circa. I traded but, quit twice after two run downs. I stopped due to my available capital only to watch it grow if I remained trading. I am looking for options to share my strategy and to combine capital for trading. I have not consulted a lawyer to discuss nor have mentioned this on any other website. @eleven, sounds like you are looking to sell your strategy which means you should be posting in the vendor section. A lawyer is not needed for the main parts of this site. People out here are trying to assist each other "free"ly.

There is a section for creating strategies you could post your's in if you are not trying to sell it.

Assuming that is not gong to happen then looking for funding generally brings you to TopStep and OneUp funding groups. You can find several threads on those vendors readily by searching the site.

BTW, having a profitable strategy seems at odds with "quit twice after two run downs" and raising capital.

Hope you post that strategy here and perhaps it can be improved to not have those drawdowns:

Thanks for reply and your suggestions. I guess I'm looking more for a partnership than anything. Didn't mean to scare anyone with the lawyer comment. My strategy took a while to develop and I'd rather not post it at this time. I do understand the spirit of this community to help others. Tonight I will move my post to the appropriate section in the forum.

Based on the curve you showed, the real question you should be asking yourself is "why did I really stop trading it twice?"

Then the next question would be "what steps have I taken since last time I quit, to ensure I don't quit again during the next drawdown?"

If I were in your shoes, I'd find answers to those questions, gather enough RISK capital to trade it live, and then jump in the water. No need for partners, sharing code, etc.

Before you started trading, based on the backtest, what was the largest drawdown the strategy experienced? When you went live, at what drawodwn level did you stop each time?

You stated it is a swing trading strategy, if the open trade drawdowns are the problem you might be able to trade it using options to limit your risk. It might be something you could test in paper trading. I agree your best bet might be to fund and track a small account.

But, keep in mind you have one strategy. What are you doing today to advance your trading? As an aside, I have seen strategies go outside historical norms, quit working for some time, but then rocket on to new highs. I agree knowing when to quit a strategy is a difficult problem.
