Hi there,
Does anyone have or know how can I create scanner that finds volume that comes into stock?

There is no interest in stock for some time and suddenly volume comes. Any ideas how to create it?
Thanks

Volume that comes into a stock? You can't know before it happens, that would be nice.

Imo increased volume is caused by news and/or somebody knows something you and I don't.

Did you try the TOS stock hacker scan? You can add a study "Unusual_Volume" and customize the parameters

Yeah, I use unusual volume. Do you suggest any settings?

It would be great if it even could find one volume spike so I know that action is about to start

Sorry late reply. I don't trade individual stocks any longer. In general settings depend on what type of securities you trade. Stocks in the lower average volume range are more sensitive than large caps. I guess you got to narrow it down into groups.
Free Stock Screener is a good site imo to start a screening process.

IBKR has a free articles section. The options link can give you insights in volume volatility etc

Hope it helps

Perhaps there were fresh thoughts for the old theme.
