I would like to discuss here an issue of trading metaphors, as I think it shapes our mind during trading. My own metaphor is scalping=wind surfing.

I think everything is a metaphor for everything else. Golf, baseball, performing music, creating art, skateboarding, weightlifting, managing a marriage or other relationship, managing a good life... I think, in most cases, trading will help with all those other things more than those other things will help with trading... at least that's how it seems with me...
