I have an array of datetimes I can export in whatever format I like:

These could be exported in a file, or as text to copy and paste such as:

Quoting
Hello world, buy the contract the day 1, of month 3 at time 11:35
Hello world, buy the contract the day 22, of month 3 at time 9:55
Hello world, buy the contract the day 28, of month 3 at time 9:50
Hello world, buy the contract the day 28, of month 3 at time 12:5
Hello world, buy the contract the day 5, of month 10 at time 10:55
Hello world, buy the contract the day 8, of month 10 at time 10:30
Hello world, buy the contract the day 10, of month 10 at time 9:0
Hello world, buy the contract the day 18, of month 10 at time 10:35
Hello world, buy the contract the day 19, of month 10 at time 11:30
Hello world, buy the contract the day 6, of month 12 at time 10:30

I would like to put these signals into EasyLanguage so as to launch a backtest.

I've been told this can be done by telling EL to read a file, put the dates into an array and check if current date is in the array.

Though, I have no idea where such a procedure is documented or explained. I'd need examples but I'm having a hard time finding any.

Thanks!

Hi Saturnix,

you should be able to find several workable examples for reading file data with the StreamReader class in the Tradestation forum.
The following thread contains an indicator that reads trade data from a file and displays it on chart and might be a good start for you: https://community.tradestation.com/Discussions/Topic.aspx?Topic_ID=158047
