AlphaSquared,

in case you didn't read it yet, I would recommend taking a look at "Mind over Markets" by James Dalton. Although this is not a book about volume profile, it deals with Market Profile and auction market theory.

consult with the guy that actually created the item you want to know about. J.P. Steidlmayer sometimes goes by Peter. The modern iteration of his company (though I'm not sure he still actually trades) Steidlmayer Software can be reached at 312-360-9466 The creator of the idea has numerous published works on the topic. If I were you, I'd draw the line between when he traded for a living and published for a living.

Dalton and Steidlmayer are going to be the best options, IMO.

Trader Dale has a descent book on it for beginners. Look him up on YouTube.
