Hi, from a keyword reference manual to powerlanguage downloaded from the Multichart site I read that there is function to convert numbers to strings:

"
NumToStr
Returns a specified numerical expression in the form of a string expression.
Usage
NumToStr(Expression,Dec)
Where: Expression - a numerical expression to be converted to a string
expression
Dec - a numerical expression specifying the number of decimal places the
returned string expression is to contain
Example
NumToStr(1500.5,3); will return a string expression "1500.500"
"

so I have this line of code that give me a compilation error:
m_text_obj = DrwText.Create(new ChartPoint(Bars.Time[0], Bars.High[0]), NumToStr(m_volume,2));

it does not recognize "NumToStr"

where is the error?

Thank's
Piero

pieroim,

NumToStr is an EasyLanguage/PowerLanguage reserved word that works in regular Multicharts, but not in Multicharts.NET. You can for example use .NET's ToString methods to convert a number to a string.

Piero,

you are welcome. There is a programming guide that you can download it from the Multicharts website: https://www.multicharts.com/downloads/MultiCharts.NET-ProgrammingGuide-v1.1.pdf.
Additionally you can use the built-in help of the editor and check out C# tutorials that you can find on the net.

Regards,

ABCTG
