Hi,
I was looking for a tool/indicator in Ninjatrader that allows the volume profile AND the high and low volume nodes of the volume profile for a select-able period of data. I believe market delta does allow this feature but the disadvantages are that it is 1) expensive 2) stand alone. Does anyone know of a software that works in Ninjatrader if possible?

I came across OFA but it seems rather expensive. However I was investigating today and found that rancho dinero also does it. At the moment I am considering that tho I may look at gomi too.
Feel free to share the outcome of the analysis and how you came to the decision to go with one or the other option..
I don't know rancho dinero, I know both OFA and Gomi.
Once out of the 'proto-typing' phase, i ended up writing my own code to do the things i need in my trading robots.
It allowed me to find a bug in OFA, which got fixed in the meantime.
I use the volume profile from discotrading (not the volume node detector) and it has composite profiles with high and low volume nodes with the option to have lines drawn on the chart. The only way to use this for various time periods (at least from what I know) is to change the days of data loaded. I would check this tool out as it is very cheap compared to the others and is frequently updated. I have no real complaints so far. It does have periodic profiles which have variable time periods with the option to have lines drawn for VPOC, VA, naked levels and VWAP.
Someone here mentioned Bookmap. Bookmap isn't a volume profile tool, and it won't show you high and low volume nodes. It's an order flow tool, showing you graphically where executed volume was. It's useful for showing where large orders were executed, and also for showing you where large resting orders are. Sierra has a similar built-in study, called "Market Depth Historical Graph".
